The latest picture of Monte taken this past Summer at Gettysburg, PA that I lowered with some Photoshopping. My paint job didn't turn out as planned due to some un-hardened sealer so I had to touch her up with some primer. Still nicer than she was!
My Best E.T. = 13.83 @ 97 MPH
My car is a 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo which is the first year they were ever produced. The Monte Carlo shared the same platform as other GM A-body cars such as a Chevelle, GTO, 442 or any similar full-size GM car from 1968 to 1970. This car used to be the family cruiser back in the day--the car that I was driven around in a baby seat. The original color is charcoal, but the car was repainted maroon when my dad still had it years ago.

Racing at 75-80, my buddy Dan in the near lane. My car ran consistent 13.9's but my fastest was 13.83 at 98 mph. I had a set of slicks from a friend and them 2.73 gears hooked!

There's Monte before temporary paint in race-ready look. The friends and I got a little window chalk happy at the racetrack. The rear wheels are the old school Appliance five-spokes and are the American Racing knock-offs.

A little logo I made up from the "HEMI" theme.
Engine: 383 Stroker built May 2005 assembled by myself & friends
Machinework: Marks Small Machine- Westminster, MD.
Painting: All the painting was done by me. I painted the intake manifold, fuel pump, motor mounts, oil pan, and starter motor a GM two stage Dupont silver I had sitting around. The block, water pump and balancer are Chevy Engine Orange. The headers I sent to Jet-Hot and had them coated with their guaranteed coating. The Jet-Hot coating I would recommend to anybody.
